Let’s Get to Work

– At Iron & Oak we provide an elite level of service and craftsmanship to every project –

Doug

Doug is one of the Two Founding members of Iron & Oak and Jake’s older brother. He is the construction manager, jobsite supervisor, and chief operating officer as well as team renaissance man as his 23 + years of experience in the remodeling industry as well as time in the military service  are valuable to each member of our team.

Without Doug, there would be no Iron & Oak. His vast knowledge of all things building and remodeling was the foundation our company was built on and the reason why Jake, our Co-Owner got involved in the industry in the first place.

Outside of work, Doug can oftentimes be found with his Wife and Children, or  in the shop working on fine woodworking projects such as epoxy river tables and other epoxy projects, custom barn doors and custom furniture. He also spends as much time as possible with his friends and family in nature and pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing, passing along his knowledge of the great outdoors. Other hobbies include Sports, Traveling, Attending Children’s extracurricular activities and pursuing a relationship with the Lord.

Doug is a stoic man of few words, strong will power, and great sincerity. We are proud to have him as a leader at Iron & Oak.

TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE:

1: Doug won a national archery competition.

2: Doug has lived in Japan.

3: Doug likes flowers.

Jake

Jake is one of the two founding members of Iron & Oak, head of Sales and Marketing, and CEO of Iron & Oak, or as his team like’s to say “The Office Guy.”A natural-born leader, he is  the rudder that keeps our ship pointed in the right direction and the glue that holds us together.

Jake got started in the construction industry in about 2014 by being a laborer at Doug’s previous subcontracting business. Although Jake never saw himself necessarily being a construction business owner, it has always been a dream of his to own a business, and a dream come true to do so with his brother at his side.

Outside of work Jake can be found spending time with his Wife or with his Friends and Family. He is a man of Christian faith. He also spends much of his time working out, athletically training his nephews and nieces, hunting and fishing, listening to music, and reading.

Jake’s high energy, positivity and natural customer service skills are a great attribute to our team and we are proud to have him.

TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE:

1: Jake has coached an Olympic gold medalist.

2: Jake has a synthetic ear.

3: Jake has won a natural bodybuilding competition.

I am the maintenance manager for the Edina Country club. We used Iron & Oak for replacing some of the outdoor railings on our property with AZEK maintenance free railing. They are top notch people, doing work with them was a pleasure and they are top notch craftsman.
